ABOUT

ZACHARY ALEXANDER DONALDSON  is a classical guitarist, lute player, and teacher based in the Bay Area. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from San Francisco State University. His repertoire includes pieces by Sor, Tárrega, Francesco da Milano, and John Dowland. He teaches at Starland School of music, Notes Music Academy, and Ian Rowe Guitar. He studied guitar with Marc Teicholz of the San Franciso Conservatory, Larry Ferrara of SF State, and Michael Goldberg of UC Berkeley. He also also taken lute lessons with Nigel North, Ronn McFarlane, and Jon Mendle. In 2020 he completed an academic year abroad where he took classes in the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and studied with Diego Castro, Nicolás Emilfork, the professor of graduate guitar studies of the University of Chile.

Zachary Alexander Donaldson is available for booking and lessons throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. He currently performs for a wide range of events including weddings, gallery shows, and receptions. Please send emails providing requested times and locations.
